This Week

2007-2008 Sunday School Registration
2007-2008 Sunday School Serving Opportunities
TREAT THE ONES YOU LOVE TO FAMILY WORSHIP!!!!
Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
(Matthew 18:5)………and so it is here at LCPC.
Family Worship is encouraged at LCPC at any of our services. LCPC urges all families to take the Two Hour Challenge; worship as a family at one hour and participate in Spiritual Formation, Small Groups or Serving Opportunities for the other. Adult educational or ministry opportunities are available while our children join their friends at Sunday School at either 9:15 or 10:45. The 9:00 Contemporary Worship offers a Children’s Sermon and the children may leave for Sunday School OR remain in worship with their parents.

Christmas Eve Family Services |
| An important part of the Family worship services (3:00 & 4:30) is the presentations of gifts to the baby Jesus. Children are invited to come up, see the infant Jesus in the manger and offer their own personal gift to Him. This year we are thrilled to announce all baby gifts will be donated to a new LCPC mission partner, Young Life. Younglives is a ministry of Young Life especially for teen moms and their babies. Mentors come alongside young women in a way we believe Jesus would do; with compassion, support and hope. All infant items are needed……….a full list can be found on the flyer located on the children tables outside Center Court, in the narthex and in the Hub at Douglas Hall |
Family Devotional Page
This week spend some time as a family
sharing your thoughts about the sermon.
FAMILY FAITH POINT
Family Ministries wants to encourage everyone to talk about our faith among our families.
FAMILY FAITH POINT: Philip found Nathanael and told him about Jesus, the Messiah. Nathanael’s resistance caused Philip to invite him to come and see on his own.
~ Who first talked to you about Jesus and what was your initial reaction?

FAMILY MINISTRIES AT LIBERTY CORNER CHURCH
Our philosophy for the future of Family Ministries is based on the scripture from Deuteronomy 6:5-9, entitled Love the Lord Your God . This scripture says it all for the vision of Family Ministries ……………………love God, be strong and positive in the way we love oneself, communicate in healthy ways to our families, and then go out and love others…………………share as a family how your faith has helped you grow, or empowered you through a difficult decision, or has given you confidence to serve God using the gifts and talents He has given us. As this scripture suggests, we will be looking back on our own childhood, fond family memories, painful lessons, who were our role models, who taught us about Christ, did anyone share with us their own personal relationship with God…… how healthy and effective was the communication in our family of origin? And then the most important question of all, "How can these reflections help us make a difference in the lives of our own children?"

Paid Childcare Providers Needed: LCPC has 2 openings for paid childcare providers on Monday mornings as well as some Wednesday & Thursday mornings/afternoons every month for our nursery and toddler age children. We pay competitive rates and have a loving and nurturing environment in which to work. Contact Kelly Tancredi (908) 647-0340, ext. 117 or ktancredi@libertycorner.org for more information.
