The Session
The session is the governing body of the church and is comprised of ruling elders, who are lay members of the congregation elected to serve a term of three years, and the church’s pastors. Under the moderation of the senior pastor, the session performs such various duties as:
- making disciples who make disciples
- nurturing the faith and spiritual life of the congregation
- developing and supervising the educational programs of the church,
- receiving new members, and
- establishing the annual budget
