Person to Person Ministry

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. ... Romans 12:10-13
Heeding the words of Paul in Romans 12, the Person-to-Person Ministry aims to:
· Create a warm, friendly, hospitable church environment through personal interaction with each of our visitors, guests, and members;
· Help visitors, guests, and members focus on worship services and education classes by assisting with parking, providing childcare, and offering coffee and fellowship each Sunday morning;
· Make all visitors, guests, and members of our church feel welcome and comfortable;
· Provide personal connections to the church community.

The Person-to-Person Ministry provides the services that help our members enjoy their time at church and offer the welcome that may induce prospective members to join our church community. These services—parking, greeting, ushering, and providing coffee and fellowship—are made available through the efforts of volunteers who are willing to donate two hours a month throughout the year. |

There is no better way to become an active part of the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church congregation than to volunteer to be part of this valuable ministry team. We can always use more help in the following areas:
Ushering – Helping to seat people at just one service ( 8:45 or 10:30) once a month is an easy way to get involved. Ushers work at the service they normally attend, so little extra time is required.
Greeting – It’s as simple as saying hello, shaking hands, and giving directions to Sunday school, youth and adult education classes, worship services, and fellowship time. Greeters welcome people into the church prior to the 8:45 or 10:30 services and are asked to come to worship just a half hour before their regularly attended service.
Parking – Volunteers direct traffic and help people find spaces in our main lot, at the school next door, and at our remote parking lot at Couch Braunsdorf Insurance on Martinsville Road. People who enjoy meeting people as they first enter the parking lots —we provide training—and enjoy wearing bright orange vest and PV Hats excel in this field.
Friendship Time – For those with more time to offer, being a coffee host for either the 8:45 or 10:30 service may be the answer.
Volunteers – As volunteers of the Person-to-Person Ministry, we wear nametags adorned with the team’s symbol, to let everyone know that we are available to lend a helping hand or provide needed information. There are nametags waiting for all interested volunteers. Please call the church office at (908) 647-0340 to learn more about or join the Person-to-Person Ministry.
