Health Care Ministry

NOTICE
The Parish Nurses are expanding to include other health care professionals and will now be known as the Health Care Ministry.  We are seeking individuals in related health care fields, who would be willing to act in an advisory capacity.  If you are a physician, physical therapist, psychologist, P.A., nutritionist, social worker, or some other health care professional who is interested in giving a few hours of time per year please contact Bonnie Mitchell at 908-50801710 or Bonniemit18@yahoo.com.  No regular meetings are required.

Founded on the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, the Health Care Ministry (previously Parish Nurses) of Liberty Corner Church seek to empower people to live full, well-balanced, spiritual and wholesome lives. We have four distinct functions: health counselors, educators, facilitators, and referral sources to other community agencies. Our services are available to the members of our congregation, and also to the community at large. The Visiting Nurses Association of Somerset Hills works closely with us as a support and resource. You can contact the Health Care Ministrywith your health questions and concerns through the church office. Watch the bulletin for our free monthly blood pressure screenings in Douglas Hall.

The Health Care Ministry seeks individuals currently holding a nursing license in the state of New Jersey, to join our ministry assisting with health assessments, blood pressure screenings, home visits, and educational programs.

We welcome the participation of medical professionals such as pharmacists, physical therapists, physicians, chiropractors, and social workers. Individuals who enjoy doing home and hospital visitation are needed. Training programs are available to assist you with this.
