Blood Drives
Did you know that 2,000 pints per day are needed to cover the needs of the metropolitan area? Thanksgiving is a particularly critical time when blood supplies are always low.
The Deacons' Blood Drive on November 29 was a success! We collected 48 pints! THANK YOU to everyone who donated, and to the youth and adults who helped with the drive.

Liberty Corner Church holds two blood drives each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The Board of Deacons, in conjunction with the New Jersey Blood Services, sponsors the drives. The program is based on a shared willingness and responsibility of healthy church and community members to meet the challenge of saving lives.

Blood donations are needed each day to ensure that the life-saving needs are met for patients in about 60 New Jersey hospitals. Statistics note that one in three people will require a transfusion in their lifetime, yet less than two percent of those in New Jersey who are eligible to donate do so. Our hope is to encourage everyone who is able to donate regularly.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have not donated blood within the last 56 days. People age 76 and older can donate blood if they meet all criteria and present a physician’s letter.
Please check the church calendar for the next scheduled drive.
