Starting Point is designed to lead you into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through a conversational environment where you can explore faith and experience community.
Who is Starting Point for?
Who is Starting Point not for?
What is the mission of Starting Point?
Starting Point aims to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through a conversational environment where they can explore faith and experience community. It is designed to help you understand how your story fits into God's story. Group Leaders seek to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for sharing and asking questions.
You will receive a Starting Point Conversation Guide and Bible. Each chapter of the Conversation Guide covers a key part of God's story:
How long does Starting Point run?
Starting Point runs once a week for about 11 weeks. You will be asked to attend as many meetings as possible for your personal growth and for group continuity.
What will I be expected to do as a Starting Point group member?
Aside from attending the group meetings, you will be asked to read and answer the questions in the Conversation Guide, listen to the CD's and participate in the group discussions. The meetings will run an hour and a half to two hours.
What else do I need to know about Starting Point?
Wherever you are in your life, you will experience growth through Starting Point. You will have a place to ask questions, learn and experience caring community.
